I'm manually wiring up a Grid View control in my app, but the Row Updating doesn't fire when clicking Update. It's as if the Grid View thinks the first link button in the row that was clicked, "Update", is actually "Edit", which is also the first control in the row.
Basically, it doesn't remember that it's in edit mode.
This works as expected and I can put a breakpoint in the Row Command event handler to see the "Event" command name.
After it has been clicked the postback places that row in edit mode. At this point in time the above Edit Item Template is displayed with two Image Buttons within it.
